In The Beginning

I have sold almost all my furniture on Craigs List or to friends. Craigs List is one of the greatest tools available to anyone renovating or looking for things. If you price items that are in good shape at a fair price, you will always find a buyer. I did have a few knuckleheads offer me 100 dollar for a sofa listed at 1200 dollars, but mostly I have had great people offer me a fair price. The pictures here are of my apartment pretty much emptied of any significant pieces of furniture. The brown spots on the ceiling were from a leaky roof, which is why the coop sold us roof rights so they could raise money for repairs that the coop fund didnt cover. You will also notice some areas where the ceiling and walls meet that has been repaired. Prior to beginning the reno, the coop needed to install firestopping sheet rock so the building would be up to code. The new hole where the stairs will lead to the roof has already been cut and the bulkhead built. Here are the before pics:

Working WBF, but has a lot of smoke blown in on windy days. This will either remain, or a gas fireplace will take its place.

Tom Wesselmann print given to me as a gift from my parents. The exposed brick wall will remain, but it will be painted white.
